Starting in the U.S. and branching out into the world

Join us in our tranquil timeless travels

Brandie and Dan have traveled internationally before they met each other.  They have had many fun adventures in the U.S. and have many more planned domestically and in other countries.

Join us as we embark on these adventures.  We have an exciting trip to Tuscany, Italy planned.  While we each have been to Italy before, neither of us have explored Tuscany outside of Pisa and Florence.  While we enjoy exploring the cities and major attractions in the United States, we also love exploring small towns, lesser known attractions and local secrets.  The latter tend to be just as fun, less crowded and full of hidden surprises.

Join us as we explore all that the Americas have to offer.  The New World ain’t so new anymore and we love it.  From the majestic southern charm of Charleston to windy San Francisco Bay to the majestic Niagara Falls, the Americas has so much to offer.  Join us as we explore not only just the major attractions, but also the little things hidden within.  Did you know there is a secret path along the Niagara River, that Napa has a castle, or that the most exquisite gardens are hidden among the homes in Charleston?  Once upon a time, neither did we, but we found them.

We talk about this a lot in our other sections for a reason–the many treasures to be found.  From the college town of Padua just outside of Venice, Italy, to the wineries of Geneva, Ohio and Finger Lakes, New York, to the restaurants along the water in Mount Pleasant, South Caroline (just outside of Charleston), to Niagara On The Lake in Ontario, Canada, there are fun and exciting spots just around the corner from the main event just waiting to be explored.

Have we visited some of the major cities?  Do we plan to visit more major cities?  Of course to both.  Join us as we include the countryside, smaller cities.  From the wineries, lemon groves and olive trees of Italy to the rolling hills lined with stone walls in England, the countryside has so much culture, beauty, and fun (the most important part) to offer.  History may hae been made in Rome, London, Paris and Berlin, but the fortresses and castles that protected the farms exist outside these cities.  This is where the food was grown and the wine, beer and spirits were produced.  These Old World traditions live on today and are there for the exploring.

Did you know wine can be made out of dandelions?  We were skeptical, too, but it’s good.  How about wineries that rival those of Napa, France and Italy in sophistication, flavor just plain yumminess?  How about the smaller producers on the Bourbon Trail, just waiting for you to compare them to the ones you see in your local stores all the time.  Don’t get us started on local breweries and what they have brought to the craft of making beer.  While you can get these things in your local stores, sometimes you gotta go straight to the source for the other stuff, stuff you never knew you were missing.  Join us as we search for and explore those hidden treasures.
